Maria came to us through our Continuing Wellness partnership with Florida Hospital. She's a great example of just how easy it is to begin forming new healthy habits with Camp21HealthFitness.
When I first heard about Camp 21 I got interested right away. What I liked the most was that it sounded like an easy-to-follow concept that I could incorporate in my routine instead of a hard to follow diet or a rigorous and extensive exercise program.
In the first few days I started to realize that Camp 21 was a whole lot more than a simple concept: it was a total lifestyle change. Little did I know that making such basic changes would be so hard to do and follow through. For me the most essential part of being able to incorporate Camp 21 into my daily routine was the accountability part of it. Having someone keeping track of me and at the same time motivating me on a daily basis was the key to my success in the program.
With the help and motivation of my “accountability coach,” Mr. Doug Fowler, I was not only able to do my first 21 days but I also started another set of 21 days with a higher, much difficult goal: to stop smoking.
Being part of Camp 21 has been one of the best things that have ever happened to me. So far it’s been 6 weeks and I’ve lost 14 pounds and haven’t smoked a cigarette in two and a half weeks!
I want to thank Mr. Fowler for his help and motivation. I also want to thank Florida Hospital for “Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ” by giving me this opportunity to change and improve my life and my physical and mental health. I am totally aware that this is a day-to-day journey and that the hard part after getting started is staying on track, but I ‘m very pleased to have taken the first steps towards a better way of life.
Gratefully Yours,
Maria G.
