"A Life-Changing Experience"

I want to thank you for the Camp 21 program. I can’t believe what a life changing experience the six-week program was for me. I accomplished my goal of eating better and getting into a regular exercise habit. I thought I would lose more weight than I did (I lost about 3 Ibs) - after all I was doing at least 30 minutes of exercise each day and eating better. What I did lose was almost 5% of body fat (I know this because my scale measures weight and body fat).

Here are my thoughts about the program.
1. The affirmation. I really thought that this would be a complete waste of my time. However, I found that it helped me remain focused on my goals and remind me to plan my day around work and things that always turn up at the last minute.
2. Nutrition. Five servings of fruits and vegetables each day - I am a vegetarian; I thought that this would be a slam dunk. This was harder than getting the exercise in every day. I never was hungry and even as a vegetarian only with careful planning was I able to accomplish this goal half the time. Most days it was 4/5 or 5/4.
3. Water. I drink 2.5 to 3 quarts of water a day before the program.
4. Exercise. At least 30 minutes a day. After the first week I was looking forward to my exercise time.
5. Rest (at least 7 hours). As a night person I had to force myself to get to bed before 11pm. Some days this was tough.

But the best part of the program was the daily phone call. These calls were always encouraging and when I did not complete one part I always given help and tips to succeed. Thanks for your help, friendship and Camp 21.
